New from The Pure Food Company

We are really pleased to become the latest stockists of products from the Pure Food Company.

Waterford based Cian Hawes & Paul Power produce & manufacture a range of sauces, and preserves using locally grown organic fruit and veg and a selection of under used native wild flowers.

In the chiller cabinet we have fresh traditional Lemon Curd, Christmas Curd, Harissa, Spinach Pesto & Wild Rocket Pesto.  On the shelf we have Red Onion Marmalade, Puca Hot Chilli Sauce, Banshee Sauce (extra hot chilli sauce) and a lovely seasonal Cranberry & Orange Sauce.

Give them a try, we promise you won’t be disappointed.

We will be in contact directly with anyone who was booked in to the September in store that had to be cancelled at short notice.

Flahavan’s Local Food Heroes

Isn’t it really wierd having a global food brand on our doorstep right here in rural Co Waterford?

They might be doing great things in the states these days, but Flahavan’s haven’t forgotten their roots as a local family firm. They are really supportive of local initiatives like the West Waterford Festival of Food.

We dropped into Flahavan’s Mill in Kilmacthomas a couple of days ago to pick up fresh supplies.  So, we now have both the regular and the jumbo Organic Oat Flakes back in stock.

We’ve also got my favourite winter warmer, the Coarse Cut Oatmeal, which for some reason tastes really creamy even if you’ve made it with water – clever that.
