The Green Saffron Christmas Puds have arrived! By far the best Christmas Pudding I’ve ever tasted (& believe me I’ve eaten a lot of puddings). Also available in a Gluten Free version.
If that’s not enough Christmas delights, we also have the Green Saffron Mulled Wine spice mix in one bottle and two bottle sizes, and the Turkey Delight mix to spice up your turkey leftovers.
Its starting to get all Christmassy here at Blasta Wholefoods.
Our stocks of Eunice Power goodies have just arrived. This year we have Pear & Lemon Chutney, Plum Chutney, Christmas Mincemeat and Mulled Wine Syrup.
Hand made here in the Sunny South East and at reasonable prices, we think these are going to be really popular.
The latest Irish product to catch our eye is Paddy’s O’Granola.
Not just a catchy name, this is a fabulous shortcut to a healthy breakfast. Just open the very smart resealable pack to reveal toasted Irish oats, wheat, rye & barley flakes, fruit & seeds.
There’s a touch of honey, so no need for added sugar and there’s no added salt. Paddy describes it as a guilt free energy boost. Just add cold milk or yoghurt for breakfast or anytime snack.
Has the Christmas party season started yet?
Just in case you should need it, this Morning After comforter is packed with calming & soothing herbs & spices to make you feel all lovely again. There’s a dozen or more herbs including dill, fennel, ginger & sarsparilla; all designed to soothe the head, calm the digestion and rehydrate.
There was a wonderful aroma of beeswax in the shop this morning as Dearbhla unpacked the latest batch of Rainbow Candles.
These little beauties are hand made in Co. Leitrim from pure beeswax. We have a good range of shapes and styles with burning times from 2 to 15.5 hours. The prices are reasonable too, starting at €1.30 and going up to €10.20 for the large pillars.
We’re really pleased to note that no fewer than three of our regular Irish suppliers have been nominated for the Bord Bia Food & Drink Awards 2011. The awards are designed to award excellence in the Irish Food & drinks Industry.
Natasha’s Living Food have been shortlisted for the Innovation Award, Kilmac’s own Flahavan’s are up for the Domestic Success Award and Blasta favourites Green Saffron are nominated in the Entrepreneurial category.
The awards will be announced at a Bord Bia event in Dublin on 22nd November. the very best of luck to them all. Full details of all shortlisted companies can be found on www.bordbia.ie
